The perkily entitled consumerism of this #NYT story about #AI boggles: “Generative A.I. took over my life.
For one week, it told me what to eat, what to wear and what to do with my kids. It chose my haircut and what color to paint my office. It told my husband that it was OK to go golfing.”

On July 14, 1970, a group of activists, many of them in their late teens and early 20s, occupied Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx. They barricaded themselves inside the facility, demanding safer and more accessible health care for the community.

The dramatic takeover of Lincoln Hospital led to one of the first Patient’s Bill of Rights, changing patients’ relationship with hospitals and doctors nationwide.

This #NYT piece on the potential for loss of access to #NOAA #weather data - or the literal loss of the data, altogether - when #Trump takes office reminded me of incidents during Trump's previous reign when things began "disappearing" from government websites.

It also came to mind this week in a discussion I took part in, regarding gender-affirming care info currently available on the #HHS website.
