Adrianna TanAfter a year or so I have finally found the hardware and software situation I have been pursuing for my film scanning. While lots of people use DSLR scanning, I don’t really like the way that works. I prefer a powerful desktop film scanner, unfortunately the great ones were made in the 90s and use software from that era. Someone gave me a Mac Mini with FireWire (!!) and plenty of storage, that I can just screenshare over the network. NikonScan works so much better than the third party scanning software I used till today, and has significantly cut down the time it used to take me to scan a roll of film. Now, the 133-year-old company has launched Kodacolor 100 and Kodacolor 200, its first new still film stocks in many years, and has said that it will be selling Kodak Gold and Ultramax directly.
