Staggering description in this Hartman's report how they want limit #voting for married #women.

- When Louise and I got married in 1972, she never formally applied for a change of name. There was really no need.

- But under the SAVE Act, she would have to present proof that she’d gone to a court for a legal change of name if she wanted to #vote.

- In other words, unless she hires a lawyer to legally change her name, 52 years after we married, she won’t be able to vote.

@harrysintonen Really important to remember that the US “at large” did not vote for President #JuniorSoprano. A couple decades of social media influence campaigns eroded faith in #voting, so turnout was low relative to other democracies. The same influence campaigns worked years to convince groups to fear each other & to turn out just the most triggered.

A fraction of the population voted for the fascists. Good people messed up, but “a pox on the whole place” feeds the trolls.

“Techno-libertarianism.” It represents a dangerous alignment of anti-democratic thought with immense technological and financial resources, posing significant challenges to traditional conceptions of democratic governance and civic responsibility."

The coup doesn't intend to allow us to vote them out of power. It will ultimately take force to accomplish that.

i wish there was a prize i could win for calling this, months ago:

'Democrats have largely agreed it’s time to end the capital-R resistance to the newly sworn in president.'

and...

'Democrats in Trump-won turf are traveling to Mar-a-Lago and voting for GOP bills on immigration and trans athletes...'

yeah, but go ahead and vote for the blue-republican-lites.

Are you a #woman? Do you marry someone and change your #name? Republicans would like you to know that they don’t think you should be able to vote. If the #SAVE act passes, your driver’s license or REAL ID, isn’t good enough if your name doesn’t match your birth certificate. There are no provisions to allow for legal name changes for any reason, probably to punish trans people. But it means that up to 30% of American women will lose the right to vote with no recourse but legally changing their name back to their birth certificate name. ( Having once changed my name after a divorce, I can tell you that it is an absolute nightmare of bureaucracy. I’m not looking forward to the expense and hassle again.)

The gop hate women, they have always hated women, and why women continue to associate with them has baffled me for many decades.
