I was able to sit for critique yesterday for an interesting design studio looking at the famous and complicated #marketstreetpark in downtown #cville . What is the best use for this space? The students offered different ideas, from live performance space to a willow oak nursery to a splash pad to an outdoor classroom to another more inclusive historical memorial. I don’t know that we have a unified vision for the future yet but I appreciate these ideas as we ponder. #publicspace #parks #design

@Lyle it’s a postage stamp of a park that has little value once the DM was built. Any recreational or historical use will get bogged down in culture wars. Build on it!
