I'm on the fence about getting an ebike. I need the exercise of pedaling, but maybe I'd get out more if I had an ebike? But then I'd have to haul it back upstairs to my apartment too (just 1 floor at least). And even then, do I want a big beast of an ebike with fat tires, or one that's basically a regular bike with a motor?

@jasonrobot Can't speak to which bike is best for your situation, but ebikes are awesome and you should get one 🙂

@jasonrobot If you need to carry, a "regular" shape bike that's relatively light with an e-bike conversion might be a good option just because it won't be too much to carry up stairs. I biked more once I had an ebike but I also was having health issues. Studies they've done suggest many folks use ebikes for more trips than they would a traditional bike so on net get more exercise just by doing it more.

@jasonrobot
I found that the amount of exercise I get on an ebike is minimal. You get about as much as you want. Buuuuut, you will be on it more than a regular bike. And you're still pedaling so its better than just sitting in a car.
