Last week MCDOT Transportation Engineering contractors completed the following tasks related to the Metropolitan Branch Trail Phase 2A project in Silver Spring, MD.

On or about Friday, June 7, 2024, Purple Line construction crews will close the Spring Street Bridge in Silver Spring, MD. The closure will be in place until the end of 2024.
During this time, Purple Line crews will demolish the existing bridge and begin construction of the new bridge.
